Apple Raisin Cobbler

  • 1/3 cup Sunsweet Dried Raisins
  • 6 cups Apples
  • 1/4 tsp. Nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. Cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup Butter - Melted
  • 1 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 cup Whole Milk
  • 2 tsp. Baking Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp. Brown Sugar
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 cup All Purpose Flour

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Melt butter and pour into a shallow 2-qt baking dish; Set aside.
Mix apples, 1/4 cup sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and water in a large saucepan. cook on medium heat; until mixture comes to a full boil or until apples are tender. Turn off heat and Sprinkle in the 1/3 cup raisins
In a separate bowl combine 1 cup sugar, 1 cup flour, 1 cup milk, 2 tsp baking soda, and 1/4 tsp salt; Mix until well combined.
Pour mixture over the butter in baking dish.
Spoon in the hot apples and raisins.
Sprinkle the top with 2 tsp brown sugar.
Bake in a 400-degree oven for 25 minutes or until cake tests done and serve warm
