Date Nut Bars

Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup Butter
  • 1 1/2 cups Sugar
  • 1 cup Buttermilk
  • 3 Cups Self-Rising Flour
  • 1 1/2 cups Sunsweet Dried Dates, chopped
  • 1 cup Pecans or Walnuts, chopped
  • 2 Tsp. Vanilla Extract
Instructions

1. Cream together butter and sugar.
2. Slowly add flour and buttermilk to creamed mixture.
3. Add vanilla extract, fold in chopped dates and nuts.
4. Spoon into greased 9" x 13" baking pan.
5. Bake at 325 for 25 minutes or until lightly browned, Cool slightly,
cut into squares.
