- 1 Pastry for a 9 inch pie dbl crust
- 2 1/2 cps Sunsweet Dried Apricots
- 2 cps Water (see directions)
- 1/2 cp Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
My grandma taught me how to make this
Step 1 Prepare pastry for double crust 9 inch pie. Line pan with bottom crust.
Step 2 Put Sunsweet dried apricots into microwave-safe bowl. Add just enough water to cover fruit (about 2 cups).
Step 3 Microwave for 15 minutes or until its tender when sticking a fork into it.
Then in another bowl mix sugar cinnamon and flour together and set aside.
Fill bottom of pastry lined pan with apricot filling take and put butter on top (as small as a dot)
Cover with second half of pastry, crimp and flute as desired.
Brush top of pie crust with milk and sprinkle sugar on top.
Bake at 400 degrees for 40-50 minutes. You can cover the crust edges with foil for first 15 minutes if you want too to prevent excess browning. If you like the browning then don't bother.
